Why Do You Run?

Assalamualaikum Ladies & Gents,

Setelah 2 tahun lebih menjadi seorang runner, semalam saya telah ditanya satu soalan yang membuatkan saya terdiam 2-3 detik. Soalannya satu sahaja:-

Why Do You Run?

Yeah…why? Pada saya, ada banyak sebab kenapa saya berlari. Hari ini saya bagi 20 sebab saya berlari:-

  1. Because it’s fun. Selalunya bila sudah habis berlari baru terasa fun lah. Masa sedang berlari tu memang tak fun pun…haha. I better finish it to feel the fun that I’m searching for.
  2. Running is my ‘alone time’. Sometimes I run to remember, sometimes I run to forget.
  3. Because I can (hehe..kalau saya jawab macam ini mesti people will rolled their eyes)
  4. To set personal records then to break them.
  5. To test my limits.
  6. I run for my kids.
  7. To be healthier.
  8. To lose weight (walaupun masih belum dapat ideal weight)
  9. To tone my body.
  10. For my stress relief.
  11. To test my limits.
  12. To get to the finish line & say “I did it”.
  13. Because I feel fat.
  14. Because I’m happy.
  15. Because I feel strong.
  16. Because I feel pretty.
  17. Sometimes because I feel broken & hopeless.
  18. Because I have the energy to run.
  19. It is my be better, see better, do better.
  20. It is my hope & my dream.

Saya masih belum bosan berlari walaupun selepas 2 tahun. Saya masih lagi excited bercerita tentang berlari, kasut, baju running, races and the list goes on.

So maybe it is true that I LOVE RUNNING, kan?
